Japan Zone
A nice collection of information. It has a nice 'airy' feel.
Links to cultural, jobs, news and events along with a light
intro to many topics. They also seem to have substantial
linkage to Japanese companies. Recommended - especially if looking
for a job.

Japan Top Sites
A 'top sites' list for Japan related sites. Sweet. Highly Recommended.
|
US-Japan.Org
Another site dedicated to advancing cross-cultural awareness between
the US and Japan. It is sponsored by the National Association of
Japan-America Societies. A little sparse at the moment, but has real
potential in my opinion.

Japan Window Japan window was originally joint venture of Nippon Telephone and
Telegraph (NTT) and Stanford University, but is now solely
operated by NTT. Showing its origins as a university-industry research
project, it tends to the academic and industry related.

Schauwecker's Guide To Japan
In the same spirit as nihongo.org, Schauwecker's Guide To Japan
is a topical guide to all things Japan - touching lightly on many topics.
Somewhat unique in that its content is available in English and German.
Very Recommended for anyone wanting to learn about Japan.

Japan Daruma
Somewhere between a hotlist and Yahoo in terms of organization, this
meta-index covers a lot of ground. Good links - but could use an
improvement in layout. You will have to scroll down through some fairly
long lists.

Library of Congress- Japan: A Country Study
Outstanding study of the entire country by the Federal Research Division
of the Library of Congress. Well organized, tons of information and fast.
A Must See.

The Japan FAQ: Know Before You Go
Designed to give the answers to the questions you didn't even
know you needed to ask. A must read if you intend to
visit or move to Japan.
