A map of Japan linked to many webcams all over Japan. Want to know what it looks like right now in Tokyo? Take a look. Just remember that Japan is 14 hours ahead of the West Coast of the US. Sunrise in Tokyo is around 4pm California. I really recommend the cam in Abashiri.

Geographical Survey Institue Japan

The GSI is responsible for the basic mapping and surveying of Japan. Their web site contains relatively few web resources - but many "real world" resources. Watch out for 200K GIFs though....
