Japanese Text Initiative
An effort to make searchable texts of classical Japanese
literature available on the WWW. The site is in English, the texts in
Japanese. It promises to be a great site - but it is still under
construction as of August, 1997. Keep an eye on it.

JALInet
JAPAN LITERATURE net seeks to expose the world to five famous
Japanese
authors: Yasutaka Tsutsui, Kyoji Kobayashi, Akira Hori, Yuji Usui, and Aki
Sato. Uneven, but interesting.

ORIONS' Entry for Literature
ORIONS strikes again with its list of literature related links. Eclectic
as
always - but LOTS of entries.

HAIKU for PEOPLE
A wonderful site for introducing Haiku, a Japanese poetry form
consisting of 17 syllables divided into lines of 5,7 and 5 syllables.
Great content and links to other good sites. Don't miss it.

Nihon-no-Kotowaza
"Japanese Proverbs". A collection of Japanese proverbs and
sayings. It is fascinating to see the parallisms of folk wisdom and it
also has linguistic notes regarding the proverbs.
